Popups are windows that appear on your website after certain conditions are met (such as a period of time that a viewer spends on the site, or when the viewer has scrolled to a certain point on your site).
The popup window contains a form where the viewer can enter their email address in exchange for an incentive in the form of a discount, a free ebook, or another offer.
When someone enters their email in the popup, they are added to your email list and can receive marketing emails.
The first window offers the visitor an incentive in the form of a discount and asks the visitor's permission to reveal the incentive using a Yes/No button. They cannot subscribe until they proceed to the second window.
In the second window the discount details are revealed to the visitor. They can input their email address and their name to receive the discount code.
The third window gives them their discount code, and lets them know that they will receive a welcome email from the store with the discount code included there as well.
Popup forms on your website ensure that new website visitors are incentivised to join your email list, and this allows you to nurture them into becoming customers.
Popups allow you to grow your email subscriber list organically over time.
More email subscribers equals more revenue when you use email marketing corretly, so high converting popups are one of the most important aspects of the email marketing funnel.
